Catherine McClure is a New York City based mezzo-soprano. Catherine is currently a third year undergraduate student at the Mannes School Of Music where she is pursuing a Bachelor of Music in vocal performance and is a student of Arthur Levy.

Catherine has always been interested in performing. She was introduced to the world of classical singing at ten years old when she began taking voice lessons and has been singing ever since. In 2017, she joined the Washington DC branch of the National Children’s Chorus where she was a member until 2021. She participated in two NCC international tours and was selected to be a part of the National Youth Opera Academy’s pilot program in 2021. Also in 2021, she participated in the WNO Opera Institute.

Catherine’s recent appearances include Stranger II in Triple Sec in Mannes Opera’s Flashpoints concert, Fidalma in a scene from Il Matrimonio Segreto in Mannes Opera’s Sceneworks program, and Ms. Todd in a scene from The Old Maid and the Thief at the 2024 Songfest opera scenes concert. She will be appearing as a chorus member and the undergraduate cover for Bradamante in Mannes Opera’s spring 2025 MainStage production of Alcina.
